1. Setting up your business

Getting your business setup in ProfitTrain only takes a few moments. Our Business Editor gives you lots of flexibility for creating your invoices and managing your business. If you would like more information than the screencast provides, please check out our Business Setup section in this help guide.

2. Managing Clients/Customers

ProfitTrain has a simple interface for manageing clients. Our Client Inspector allows you to customize the clients information and defaults. Marking clients as active and inactive allow you to focus on the clients you are currently doing work for without losing the details. For more information, please check out our section on Client Management.

3. Creating Invoices

ProfitTrain is flexible about your invoice workflow and offers a few different paths. This video covers the To Dos view and the Invoices view to create invoices. Nothing beats seeing it in action in the video, but if you want more details on either of these views, please check their sections in the help documents.

4. Payments and Balance Sheet

This screencast cover the basics of payments and client balances. For more details on these topics, please check out the Invoices and Balance Sheet topics of the help documentation.

5. Handling Expenses

Invoices and income are only one part to managing your business. In order to calculate profit, we need to track expenses. Our simple expense tracking will make this painless for you. More details on tracking expenses in ProfitTrain are in the help documentation.

6. Using Reports

Reports bring it all together and help you see what is actually going on in your business. Our reports gallery has more reports to get you the information you need and if you need something more specific, ProfitTrain allows you to make it.
